I’ve got a few garden furniture items that need repainting - and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for bulletproof outdoor aerosol paint. Last year I repainted some table legs with some normal automotive spray paint and rust has come through, so looking for something more specislist.

I used raptor paint (the 1k version) a couple of years ago on parts of a van and it gave a more rubberised thick coat, so something along those lines might be the go.

I have a composite deck and want to avoid things rusting and staining the deck so really after tips for the most robust weatherproofing. After anything available in black or anthracite grey.

Thanks!

Sort the rust. If the rust is on screws and brackets put them in white vinegar.
No paint will cover rust for long

Thanks - yup I do that but it comes back - so I'm assuming the paint still lets water in over time; I do a fair bit of work with a company who build outside electrical units and they talk a lot about coatings tested to various standards, and how various paints let water in. So just wanted to see if folks knew of good marine-grade paints like that.
