Hi all,
I'm about to paint my freshly re-rendered house. Am I better off with Dulux Weathershield Trade, or the Weathershield consumer version?

I'm not planning to do it again so cost isn't important but want to get whatever will make the job easier. According to the Dulux Website I need to water down the first coat but otherwise I'm just planing to roller it on.

thanks in advance,

T.

ive only ever used the trade stuff and i have to say i was really impressed with it. great consitency, lovely and thick, it had much better covering power and covered more area than other maisonary paints id used.

like i said i cant comment on the consumer range but if you use the trade you wont be disapointed

I wouldnt use either..Johnstones stormsheild is just as good and a lot cheaper..or crown stronghold

Then again if it needs two coats anyway it doesnt really matter.

i worked for a paint shop years ago and it was common knowledge that trade paint was better quality than DIY paint and often longer lasting. Even what looks almost exactly the same cans etc, i would always go for trade paint.
