Hi all
This is my job for the weekend. Skirting is new ie unfinished softwood

This is my plan can any experts advise me if it sounds OK.

I've got some knotting solution so will whack that on (2 coats) over the knots. Then was planning to buy Leyland trade acryclic primer (one coat?) and then Dulux satinwood to finish (one coat?)

How does that sound?

Cheers.

you will probably need two coats primer undercoat to cover as well

I have just used some Leyland Trade Primer undercoat found it was a bit thin compared to Dulux Trade Primer undercoat

Unfinished wood?

Sand with 120 grade, use caulk to gap fill wall undulations and any poor joins in the skirt.

Knott and then fill any bad knots, fixing points and get the job tidy. Then prime, most are quick dry so a light coat and then recoat an hour later..

Then undercoat, then two top coats.
