weird website - sideways scroll

Why does it scroll sideways, rather than the more conventional vertical? Never seen this before..

It scrolls the normal way for me, using Firefox

Yep left to right, maybe imitating a book or magazine.

Reading on a mobile produces a vertical experience, if that's what you're after. Could also look to make your desktop browser pretend to be a mobile one and see if that changes it for you - easy done:

Reading on a mobile produces a vertical experience, if that's what you're after. Could also look to make your desktop browser pretend to be a mobile one and see if that changes it for you - easy done:

Perhaps a question for the owners of the site! If you view on a tablet in landscape does it feel "magaziney" as suggested?
