"The Prince of Wales will reaffirm the "myriad connections between the people of our countries" at a ceremony to remove the Queen as Barbados' head of state and transition to a republic."

I guess he'll gloss over the 'Windrush scandal'...

One wonders which country will be next to axe an archaic head of state system?

Brexiteers will be cheering from their rafters at a nation 'taking back control', won't they?

I could not care less tbh if Barbados is a republic or not :)

as said by numerous residents of barbados on the radio

what difference will it make to the ordinary person life in barbados

zilch :ROFLMAO:

hopefully next year nicola will get her referendum , get a decent result , and gain independance

as for the welsh :LOL: yeah right

they could take all the french migrants  there well versed in issuing sick notes

The gene pool in Iceland must be getting thin tbh

they are all related to one another

;) Which is precisely why Iceland could do with some new blood in the country

France / Calais / and migrants seeking a new home

simples

Iceland

Perhaps it might be a nice republic to migrate to by boat. Anyone know what the benefit system pays out and mobile phone reception?

free hot water in Iceland - that is about it. Everything else costs a fortune.

Congratulations Barbados.

Britains remaining empire is crumbling

Barbados has been independent since 1966, choosing the Queen as HOS until now, like Canada, Australia NZ, etc, don't really understand the need for a ceremonial HOS, USA has managed for long enough
