The set up is as follows, i have a pump drawing water from borehole to a storage tank. Storage is c3 feet above ground and i can't move it.

I have a second pump from storage tank feeding domestic water sytem. When running any tap the water is a little stop start now.

Previously i had a pump with an attached accumulator that i believe evened the water flow and their was no stop start. This pump set died and was replaced with just a pump.

For most applications there isn't really a problem, but the shower doesn't like the new set up. So....

Short of buying a new pump anyone have any suggestions?

My feeling is that the cylinder acts as a buffer smoothing the flow and its reintroduction would be enough?

The system worked for years so something must have been ok

What i had before was sort of like this

My feeling also.

Are you sure there isn't a small accumulator/vessel on your current pump?

The vessel is pressurised with air and requires regular maintainance ie checking the pressure and re-inflating perhaps once a year.
