After every heavy rain shower the drivers side foot well carpet is drenched. I have looked under the car and checked all round the doors but can’t see where the rain is coming in. It is only wet in the foot well and I can’t find any where it has tracked down from above. What I’m saying is the seats are still dry, no water on steering wheel, dashboard etc. My mate has suggested the windscreen seal has gone but before I change it has any one got any suggestions.

The car is a proton jumbuck pick-up truck
:(

Unlikely to be windscreen seal, IMHO.

Check the underside of the scuttle gully.
Also (if you have one) the sunroof.
Also (if it's nearby) the battery tray.

The easiest way to find this is with two people, on a dry day, with a hosepipe and a torch.

One person plays the hose over the car, starting low down, while the other one has his head in the footwell, with the carpet removed, until you see where the trickle is coming from. It will be obvious when you find it.
