the 4" waste pipe comes up through the concrete floor looking for a way to connect shower trap to this any help would be appreciated

You don`t connect to it,you just fit your shower trap and it fits over the 4 inch waste, or you can get a 4 inch adapter to 1 inch and a half waste. It must be correct shower trap,pics would help.
