Wet room Waste

Good afternoon.

I wasn't sure whether or not to post this in the Tiling or Plumbing Forum as there is no bathroom section on this site....ahem ......anyway; I have never fitted a wet room without some kind of former. I am interested in doing an unusually shaped wet room whereby no former on the market is likely to fit so I will be constructing the former myself as part of the flooring.

So my question is; does anyone know of a high end wet room waste with grate that is suitable for use without a former??

Thanks for the post, that is what i'm after, I hadn't even cosidered Schluter as they can be rather complicated to say the least, i will look into that one.

Anyone fitted the McAlpine top access Wet room wastes?

How do they compare to the Impey Aquadec type??
