I'm having a bit of a disaster with my wetroom.
I've separated with the tradesperson who was doing the work after he bodged the tilling.
The background. Underboarding the shower former was not an option as there were too many pipes there. Therefore we got a 'Tough-X' which can be placed straight on the joists.
The rest of the chipboard floor was replaced with 18mm plywood and then ditra 25 stuck on top.
As you can see in the photos there is a gap between shower former and ditra map. I'm pretty sure the tradesperson would have just tiled over the gap (he kept telling me tiles are waterproof after all).
I'm already going to have to rip off the plasterboard on the walls and start again. Just wondering do I need to do that with the ditra mat and floorboards ?
Or is there is sensible way to fill the void between the two.
