what are brackets used for standing on slate roofs called?

Hello,

What are the brackets called that are used for hooking under slates and catching nails so you can stand and paint a dormer window etc.

Ive seen many wooden made up versions round my neck of the woods. Can these be purchased, Ive enough jobs in the old house wihtout making tools!
