I have been looking at white, smooth, 6-panel 30-minute doors from Wickes. I like the look of them and they feel nice and solid.

Is it true doors like this are made of fair-faced chipboard?

I am wondering how strong they are, and if they are liable to swell or warp especialy with chanmges in humidity.

The core is generally a very dense laminated/layered particle board, or may even have some plasterboard within it, and so they are very stable in terms of humidity, but the edge timbers can swell a bit like any door

I thought the faces were moulded from MDF
