Evening All,

Hoping you can help me out. My wife asked if we could change the front door hinges to satin brass to match the rest of the new door furniture and I glibly said “sure, no problem”. Then I went and looked and a) I don’t recognise this sort of hinge (see pic), b) I’m not sure if you can get those in satin brass somewhere? and c) if not, what else would fit as they have curved corners and an odd looking screw pattern!?

Help?!?!

thanks
Mark

See if you can get a PVD brass set. It is a non-tarnishing brass plating on stainless steel. performs very well in external doors. The much cheaper brass plated steel will rust badly.

What is the door made of? Wood? Plastic? Composite?

Examples on here

Looks like 100 X 90, rather than 100 X 74.
There seems to be a greater choice in the smaller size, but I may be wrong.

You can decode the grading with this document.

I think it is a fire-rated security hinge for a heavy door.
