What boiler do I need

Hi,
I currently have a 15 year old boiler that needs replacing, pilot light keeps going out.
What I want to do is just replace the boiler not my whole system I currently have two 2 port valves with the hot water being supplied by a storage tank, 7 Radiators and one towel rail, also the flue needs to come out the back of the boiler.
Can any one recomended a good boiler that will do the job I am not to worried about the make but as always price is Importent I don't want to pay a fortune.

The Broag Advanta is as good as any, and very reasonably priced.

They do an open vented range, so alterations would be minimal.

your looking for a heat only boiler. There's many too chose from and everyone has their preffered choice. Maybe you should ask your installer what they recommend.

I have had a look at a few and no more than about £800.

Well I would ideally like it supplied and fitted for this price, but not sure if I will, I do know that Most Gas Fitters/ Plumbers charge a fortune almost as much as us sparks. The boiler etc I can do my self as there is only two pipes to plumb in, the Gas would be better left to a proffesional.

£800 supply and fit will get you a rubbish boiler, flung on the wall by a cowboy.

Thing is with the boiler being about 15 years old it would be cheaper in the long run changing it for a condensing boiler. I have had a look at some and I may get a Baxi solo (Type I have now) These seem to start around £600 I have now got to work out what size I want.

What is the output of the current boiler, this should give you an idea as to sizing.

What I can see it is currently 16kw I am looking for one a bit bigger as in the near future we will be adding an extension which will add another bathroom and approx another 4-5 Rads.
