Doing some work putting up a clothes storage unit. Upon drilling only a few into the wall my masonry drill bit just bent at 90 degrees. Can not seem to see what it is i hit and just wondering what could bend it so easy. Having said that it is a cheap bit that comes in one of those sets you get for coppers. Rest of the wall is fine and drilled into easy enough.
What can bend a masonry drill bit?

Uness your wall is a thermalite one, I'm surprised that the cheapo drills have worked at all.....

I found 16 and 1/2 stone leaning on it can bend the bit.
