Never ever had a cctv at my home but I am purchasing a system mainly to provide security across my drives to look at my cars.I have to admit i need them to record at night time so they need to have a decent image night vision.Wireless would be easier.
The area they need to cover would 15 meters from my wall to end of front of my drive.Same for the side of my house to drive.
Will need hdd installed so the mrs doesnt have to touch it lol for obvious reasons.

I only need 2 cameras but i may want a one of the back of the property in the future.

Any advice on what to buy would be appreciated as there's so many on the market.

Wireless and decent image at affordable cost ( domestic ) do not go together. Also wireless is prone to interference from nearby equipment.

As the cameras will need power there have to be wires going to them. While installing the power cable the video cable can go in alongside it.

I have a great hikvision system and seem to be a very reliable make. Night vision is good however if there is a light on the drive that will make it better. Like mentioned avoid wireless there a waste of time for a home system that you want to be good and last.
