Ive just tiled my kitchen floor with black slate tiles and we have a cherry maple kitchen with black worksurfaces arriving in a weeks time...so...can anyone suggest colours for me as im a bit stumped...I originally wanted terracotta but it aint gonna go with the black...whats my safe colour options ??

Is it me or have you not said where or what you intend to paint ?
mondyman i have the same colours in the utility and i have painted the walls a sky blue colour, looks fresh, will post a pic once i get round to it
Colours that go with anything are Almond White, Magnolia, Buttermilk, Gardenia, Barley White & Natural Calico. All in Dulux Colours though be warned that Ready Mixed Non-Trade dulux Emulsions are different shades from Dulux Trade Emulsions even though they are worded as being the same colours ! Also if you buy colours mentioned above in different makes then again you will have different shades of named colours due to each different paint makers apply different volumes in there paint products.
