Its been a while since I last did some plumbing, and I now need to replace the cylinder on my vented system.

What type of connectors do I need to get to connect the primaries, cold inlet pipe and hot outlet to the cylinder, what are they called?

Many thanks for any advice.

two of thes 22mm x 1" for primaries. depending on what size yours are maybe 28m x 1"

Thanks Seco.

2 more questions;

what are these types of connections called?

The connector you have shown in the top photo, which end connects to the cylinder?

the first is a straight cylinder union. as in pic the threaded part screws on to a male thread on the cylinder. and the copper part tapers to give a seal.

the second is a male iron 22mm x 1".

check what your pipes are now as they may be 22mm or 28mm.

Thanks Seco and Gasman.

The fittings for the primaries, do they need some jointing compound where they attach to the cylinder?

the top 1 in seco's pics wont need but the second with need about 12 wraps of PTFE on the thread,,,,, I always put a bit of jet blue paste on the olive .
