Hi

This is the rear of my garage. The whole thing is thin wood with the wall on the left (as you look at it) part of the property boundary wall extended upwards, and the wall on the right is the house wall. The back of the garage is flush with the back of the house.

Ideally, I'd like to replace the side panels with brick and put a decent steel double door in.

Any advice from you experts? What would a pro charge? Could a semi-competent diy-er manage it?

Cheers

Who owns the wall on the left? Will the door be the full width or are you expecting to have a slither of masonry each side?

The neighbours own the LH wall.
It'll need about 45cm of brick either side. Been looking at metal security double doors that come pre-hung in frames. Be useful to be able to unlock from both sides.
