What do you guys think of this course?

thers no way you can learn all i spent years learning(you never stop though)in six weeks.it seems it only teches you domestic which isnt good if you run out of work and someone offers you six months on a conduit job.

give me 4500 plus vat.i bet i can make you a better spark than they will.

anyway, moving on.why doesnt he just do the courses(candg)at nightschool to get qualified then phone up employers once hes in his second year?

that way he gets to keep his money and he will earn a lot more in the long run

it's not "everything".. it's the basics and the regs course.. gets you about as qualified to do electrics as a plumber or kitchen fitter...
domestic only..

you do get a "electricians tool kit" and a megger to keep.. :) and registration on a part P scheme..

the real question is not can you learn everything in six weeks (you can never learn everything) but can you learn enough to do electrical installation safely and professionally in three weeks. Obviously the operators of the part P self cert schemes think the answer is yes. Some time served electricans would probablly disagree.

I did my C&G 236 parts 1 and 2 in one year on day release.. 1 day, 1 evening per week for about 40 weeks..

Yes and no, probably.
