I have an old but usually reliable Neff 6503 washer dryer. The water is now heating to boiling on any program, so I presume that the thermostat is knackered. I can find the schematic parts diagram on google but all the parts have numbers only. No descriptions. I have no idea what the thermostat looks like. I can easily recognise the heating elements. I presume that the thermostat connects thereabouts. Would it be easy for a novice to replace the thermostat? (I've previously replaced the condenser so I know my way in). :?

It could be a flat disc, (or maybe 2 in series)on the outside of the drum, if it only has 1 temp setting. Else I would expect it to have a capilary tube clamped to any part where the water is in close contact.
