It's a LAP modular unit with 2 USB outlets. Says it fits in a 35mm backbox

But how is it retained? I see no screw lugs.

A faceplate is listed, with mounting screws. Does the module attach to it?

Thanks

Thanks

Is it something equivalent to a grid module?

Similar concept different implementation.

Unlike most grid systems, "Euro" modules do seem to be compatible between brands (though I've never seen a formal standard for them). The modules also have a larger front area and have no gaps between them, which makes modules possible in "Euro" format that would not be possible in most grid systems.

There is a huge variety of modules available. Different types types of power socket including BS1363, BS546, French, Shuko and American configurations, USB chargers, bedside lights, Phone connectors, network connectors, audio connectors, video connectors, aerial connectors (including things like triplexers), switches (1 way, 2 way, intermediate, 20A DP etc), fuseholders (for BS1362 fuses), USB chargers (including some powerful enough to charge laptops)

The modules clip directly to the plate, with no intermediate "grid". The one thing that bothers me slightly with Euro modules is concern about how robust the clips are. I'm fairly sure I've tripped over an Ethernet cable and pulled the module out of the faceplate before.

Yes, I saw it, thanks, but Screwfix links not working today.

Unless you're desperate to use it just because you have it, don't bother - a 15W charger is a bit off the pace these days.

If you really want a built-in USB charger, there are better ones than that available, e.g.

Thanks, I hadn't seen that.

An A and a C would be useful. Very deep, though.

The one I linked seemed very cheap.

I think the one you show is BG EMUSBAC45W in white

Yeah - needs a 47mm. I want to install one where I've currently got a box with a blanking plate, and it's not deep enough. It doesn't really show, so I'm tempted to get one of those extender things rather than dig out the box and put in a deeper one

Older tech, limited functionality...

Yup. I'm sure there are other makes as well.
