As above, I've got a new 7'x5' shed being delivered and erected in January for the allotment. Before it comes I want to lay a base for it. I have enough paving slabs - those big, thick, heavy ones that the council uses for pavements - but I don't just want to lay them on top of the soil. I have a sheet of that reinforcing metal that you lay into cement but I was just thinking of getting the soil to the level I want it, laying a dry mix of sand/cement/ballast and then putting the slabs on top of that but what should I use for the dry mix? I've seen this stuff but I'm wondering if that will work out expensive for the area I need to do.

Any suggestions?

I’d do a screed mix, ie sharp sand and cement, doubt that’s a million miles from that wickes stuff either.
