In the final stages of our Barn conversion
in the old part of the house there are 6 inch wide pine T&G Boards
in good condition just need a good sand
in the Dining room there was a concrete slab
just fitted same pine T&G flooring in there
looking for advice on OSMO Polyx oil ( Satin ) Clear
as we need about 10litres for 2 coats in this area i thought i would ask if anyone else has used this product as its not cheap !!
as its an oil i assume i can just sand down the floor and apply 2 coats
how much darker will it make the wood go ?/

any advice

Thanks

10 liters for two coat means you have around 10 sq m?

Osmo clear HWO will bring out the natural colour of the wood. Pine tends to turn orangy a bit, so your floor will turn a bit orangy.
If you think Osmo is too expensive, try Blanchon HardWaxOil, same quality, lower in price.

Thanks for the reply
I wonder how Orange it will go
Will it get darker with 2 or 3 coats ?

Got me thinking about coverage what will i get on new timber from 10 litres
Dining room kitchen and Shower room = more than 10 SQ Metres

Oops, miss-read your 10 ltr, saw 1 ltr, sorry.

1 ltr covers appr. 10 sq m in two coats.
And the shade of orange depends on the grade of pine; the lower, the more organy it can get. Perhaps a little colour will (like Golden Oak) prevent most of it.
