Hi all,
Having an arty-moment here, I was thinking of placing a travertine or granite washbowl/sink on a piece of nice wooden kitchen worktop, in the bathroom.

Concerns are:
What is the most waterproof wood to use (solid wood, well figured pls)

What is the best water resistant finish to apply? I can think of linseed or Tung. But being a slob, I intend a bit of frenzied work at first, but rare maintenance runs

Does this kind of spamming really work?

Assume the spammer is going to be Kungfoo'd off the thread?

Hey! the ignore button actually REMOVES messages from my sight - how easy was that.
