i've got a feeling the reply's to this post could go downhill very quickly,
but, you'll never win a raffle if you never buy a ticket,so,hear goes.

does any one know for sure what cls means,
so far i've heard,
canadian lumber slump,(why ?).
canadian lumber suppliers,(possible).
canadian lumber systems,(also possible).
canadian lumber sizes.(doubtful,but then again,maybe).

it's doin me ead in,and i've no idea why.

someone please put me out of my misery.

Canadian Lumber Size CLS.
Sometimes you can get ALS, American Lumber Size.

Its Canadian Lumber Standard, they are the board that set the standard for timber in Canada a bit like TRADA over here

and in case you havent worked it out the sizes are imperial with a metric size quoted

38mm= 1 1/2" 63mm= 2 1/2" 89mm= 3 1/2"
