What is regarded as Trim on replacement windows

We are in the process of having replacement windows fitted to our Victorian flat.

The fitters have done an excellent job on all the windows except for a large bay at the front.

The bay had a very decorative moulding which we want to keep.

The company did say that they were unsure if they could remove the mouldings without damage but would do their best.

In any event we did agree that we would get a joiner to trim the inside if necessary as there should be one on site at the time.

The long story short is we don’t have a joiner and the fitters have removed all the mouldings and sill, none of which could be salvaged.

We are now left with large sections of exposed sections on the top, bottom, sides and joints and they are regarding this as finished as we said we would "trim".

Is this acceptable ?

We had anticipated getting the joiner to trim the vertical joins but had not considered the wall joints, or the top of the windows as part of this process.

Some pictures would help but it'll most likely be down to who thought who was doing what

Pictures as requested - there are four sections to the bay these pictures show the left most section butted against the wall and then the join between two of the sections.

It is my understanding, that this is how they intened to leave it.

You've said in any event, a joiner would be finishing the inside timber work??

Mark, can't help you with the windows but was wondering if you were one of the West London Rabaiotti's ?
