Hello,

I'm not too sure I am posting on the right forum but hopefully someone might be able to point me in the right direction.

I have gas central heating in my house and all the radiators are fitted with TRV's. However, there is no actual temperature control that shows what temperature I want the heating regulated at.

On the boiler itself, there is what I believe to be a temperature control, but this dial is simply numbered from 0-5. Now obviously this does have some effect on the heat that is generated, but what I wanted to know is, is it the dial on the boiler or the TRV's that will regulate the heat?

I.E if I had the boiler at 5, but the rads on 1 or 2, will the system shut down when the rads reach the temperature selected or will the boiler carry on firing up trying to generate whatever is required for level 5?

Thanks
