Hi,

I want to install a wooden floor into the dining area and hallway. I don't want to use solid or engineered wood as there will be a lot of traffic in these areas and also have children. Laminate flooring is tougher (so I am told) and can resist the occasional heavy item being dropped on it and does not scratch easily.

However I do not like when the ends of the laminate boards get chipped and was wondering if there is a floor that is more resistant to this or what my options are.

Thanks in advance
