What is the strongest way to fix a wooden gate post to brick please? The post will be fixed to a house wall which will take all the weight of a 1.2m wide wooden gate ( the ground below the below the post will not provide any support). The fixing would need to be about 150-160mm long I guess to fix timber 88mm thick? Many thanks

Expanding bolts (rawlbolts) or resin fix using threaded rod and bolts.
