What is the rubbery type of compound used to fill in joints where two different walls meet

I have a joint where an extension butts up to the original house and the compound is looking a bit rough and wasn't put in very well to start with. I think I have seen similar stuff where two pieces of floor meet in a factory.

Anyone know the brand name and where I can get some?

You could probably get it in a diy shed or any builders merchant.

You'll also need to buy a barrel gun and a few nozzles as the sausages don't fit a normal caulking gun.
