Hi there
We've just built a two storey extension on our house and drylined the block-built walls. Some of the plasterboard is fixed with batten and nail (over electrics and plumbing) and some is fixed on dabs.
I've got the job of taping and filling the joints which I'm doing with fibreglass mesh tape and Wickes jointing compound which seems to be quite good.
My query relates to my partner who is insisting that we tape internal corner butt joints too, which means a lot more work where the wall plasterboard meets the ceiling. Is this really necessary? He thinks unless we do this, the joints will crack, but I disagree. I'm sure it isn't necessary.
Any experts out there that can help?
Thanks in advance
Wendy
