WHAT IS THIS !

Evening all.
Can somebody tell me what this flower is ?
The plant was put into the ground about 4 years ago and up until a few weeks ago
was just the green leaves.
The flower in the middle has just appeared !

Looks like a variety of cordyline australis.

there is a variety of yucca that only flowers about once in ten years. Might be one of them. Let's see the stem.

No idea what it is, our garden is full of plants we have no idea what they are!
