We have a conventional 3 bed semi the kitchen being an extension on the back of the house,
I would like to extend the kitchen roof line to the perimeter of the house there by making an extra room/conservatory at the end of the lounge.
Above the existing window in the lounge is a row of soldier bricks, will I have to support these with a lintel to take the additional weight of the roof, if so which lintel will I need? ( a span of approx 8 foot ).
