what plasterboard to use and painting direct onto it

Its cheap because its the smaller boards so will need double the amount, also its square edge and you will need tapered if you are going to tape and fill it
 
I found a local place who will deliver tapered edged boards for not much more that that.

Does anyone have a link to instructions on what to do when taping and filling? Also what tools/materials to buy?
