Hi all,

Probably a very simple question, but it's left me baffled...

We're moving out of our house and where I've disconnected the dishwasher's waste pipe from the kitchen sink's main waste pipe, I'm obviously left with a hole - see below:

So I'm looking for an end cap for this - it's 1 inch across (25 outer diameter, ~20mm inner diameter), but I can't find anything in that size, so I'm not sure if that's the bit I'm meant to be measuring. Then I read something about BSP sizes which aren't the same as the actual measurement.

Any suggestions as to what I need?

Cheers

Pete

Cheers, I'll give it a go....

The other option I suppose is to replace the section of the main trap that contains the middle connector (below) with one that is just straight:

But I'm not quite sure what I'm looking for - this has a screw thread rather than the push/compression most use and I'm not sure if the measurements the connectors use refer to the pipe's diameter, or the diameter of the thread? (Which might be why I can't find a 1" cap? Do I really want a 3/4" cap because that's what the pipe diameter would have been..?)
