I need to build a platform outside a back door.I have removed the existing steps and need to replace them.I want to build a platform and then set the steps to run at 90 degrees to the back door.I understand that I may need to place a safety rail or similar 900mm above the platform.I do not know if there is a minimum width required forthe platform.There seems to be no minimum width for the steps.Can I assume there is similarly no minimum set for the platform width?
