Hi guys,
after pulling my carpet up ready for some new laminate flooring to be laid down, I discovered that there was not a concrete floor. What was left were some (what look like) paving slabs or flag stones (which I take is the original flooring?) and some very badly applied, cheap-looking leveller that is cracking. No underlay was discovered. The guy who "renovated" the house just glued cheap carpet down.
My question is...with the paving slabs as my "floor" as it stands...what is the best way to put some leveller on in order to put carpet down instead of the rhino flooring I had ordered? I am not sure which leveller to use (are there better ones that will stick to the slabs better than others or will I need to level the uneven slabs off with a bit of concrete first?) I know the ideal situation would be to lay a proper concrete floor, but that will no doubt cost a lot of money and take a lot of time???
