Hi all,

After constructing our deck two years ago I still have leftover deckboards sitting on one side (yes really  )

I have a couple of posts as well and a 6x2 joist or two. I think I have about 4x4.6m boards left over.

Has anyone got any ideas of what I can do with these? It would be too wasteful to just bin them!

I was thinking more of "what can I make with them?"

Have you got a shed; or a back door that people trample mud in? You could make a sort of doorstep to get mud off their feet.

Have you got enough to make a disabled ramp? If you have any friends or family or neighbours that use a wheelchair, it can bring a lot of pleasure to enable them to to get out into the garden (my old mother is now disabled and enjoys hers, and her neighbour has had one fitted so my mum can go round for tea, which I think is great).

I made planters with mine, about 100cmx50cm and 2 deck boards high and have herbs growing in it.
