Hey folks, happy Sunday.

I have a garden on two levels and the beds in the retaining wall never really grow anything apart from weeds and brambles. Every so often I'll clear it out and it starts again.

I've had no luck in my attempts to grow anything over the years. I would like to make it look better and save on maintenance. I'm thinking of putting down a weed membrane and decorative stones but would love to hear ant other ideas?

Open to plant or green ideas and lower maintenance preferred.

Cheers

Larry

Ivy? Grows fine for me on a north-facing wall that has a fence on one side and a shed to the other, ie screened from east and west as well. It will cover the bed, and grow up the fence and down the wall, if you want it to [well, even if you don't want it to. Just needs pruning].

There are many types, not just dark green.
