What to do with this mess of a toilet inlet

I have removed our old toilet intending to decorate the room and replace with a brand new one. The cold water inlet has this mess of parts and it seems like it could do with some tidying up.

Is the best option to shut off the water supply, and replace the push fit with a new isolation valve and a short length of copper pipe?

Easiest way would be to buy a flexi tap connector hose with integral iso valve and attach it onto the copper below the speedfit connector, discard everything else there.

As above - a flexi can be carefully made into a loop if it's too long

It is, indeed, too long. I could cut the feed pipe down a bit more.. or try this loop idea. How tight can the loop be?

It's called pigtailing - the loop can be as tight as it needs to be without the pipe itself kinking.
