Got a biggish area to fit some kind of cladding/soffit/boards to for my porch ceiling. Fixing to rafters at 400mm centres. I want to fit downlights to it. Needs to end up white. Any preferences from experience? Only really used the hollow soffits for this kinda thing and I reckon they’ll shatter if I try and fit downlights.
Not sure if MR plasterboard’s a complete no no due to moisture?
Ta for any thoughts

I normally use the internal plastic cladding, never had a problem with shattering when fitting down lights, or melting (with led bulbs).

Thanks, will check that out. Didn’t realise you could get separate internal stuff, assumed it’d be the t&g/shiplap from places like eurocell which ain’t cheap
