Does anyone know what type of brick this is? I have a hole from an old glue I need to plug. They are 213 x 65mm. Thanks for any advice.

Could be something like a West Hoathly, or Freshfield Lane. There are others similar in the Kent, Sussex area.

Thanks Stuart, but I don't think they are either. They look very much like an Ibstock brick though.

Nowadays Ibstock produce those Sussex type stocks. There are quite a few different types, although they look a bit similar.. The older ones that were produced at the original brickyards were more of a random shape, like the ones in the photo.

Freshfield lane is just a few miles from me, I go down it quite often.

They are of the 'stock' family.

Have a look at Ibstock 'Bexhill Dark'. (y)
I think you're right. having looked at their website and a few google images, they look like Bexhill Dark. My local merchant stocks them too :) Thank you Noseall.
