in our new extension, a downstairs loo is going to overlap (slightly) one corner of a downstairs reception room. What type of wall would provide the best kind of sound insulation? Breeze? Stud wall with specialty insulation?

Thanks,
Edward

The denser the material the better the sound resistance.

A heavy dense block would afford you the greatest resistance.
