just finished an extension and rooms are part brick (old side of house and part celcon solar blocks (new build)
Old part of house is render and skimmed
out of dry lining and skim , hard wall and skim and render and skim what would be best for a good finish that doesnt crack?
Any advice appreciated re best option
Thanks

you cant beat sand and cement with a skim finish,
hardwall + skim is 2nd choice
i wouldn't even consider dry lining if you want to stay away from cracks

The finish on that is not as good as BG- I would spray it in a school/hospital type job, but not in my house.

I'm with Steve. Sand and cement with a skim for me every time- a good solid, damp roofed house.

As regards the cracks, that is not really to do with your choice of plastering material but what it is going on to.
