Whats the best type of sealant to use to apply to the metal plugholes before screwing them tight?

Is normal bathroom sealant ok?

If so, what makes the best to go for, i'm not too concerned about price.

Unibond?

All the gas boys are raking it in the £ast minuite before X mas  The forum is left to the retired and senile

You can use ordinary silicon or "plumba" sealant or somilar. Put it under the metal rim but NOT on the rubber seal underneath otherwise it will just extrude out when you tighten it. Also put some on the threads of the waste fitting or it will leak at that point
