Make you right
Hard work at first but soon comes together once you got your dog to do basic commands ie sit, come, stay etc the agility comes easy without the basic control of your dog you haven't got a hope in hell your dog willbe across that field before you know it.

What am I doing on Sunday? Well now, it's a weekend day and there's an "s" in it too --

Then, in the afternoon, our other half will be out shopping with her mother while I'm in the bath with a can of Carlsberg Special and Absolute Classic Rock on the radio. All in all that's not a bad day. :D :D :D

PS: Does this count as advertising? :? :? :?

There's a bloke in a tent.
How long do these events go on for ?

I thought it was in and out of a few tunnels, few jumps, and off home.

Looks like a Doberman with a darts trophy.  Boy that dog is well trained.

Strange thing about our mutt though. Here in Derby, when it's been raining, he won't walk or run though any puddles, yet a fortnight ago we were on holiday in Scotland and he ran straight into the sea (and loved it) What's the score with that then???

It'll only be a day event
Get there early, get registered,kc paperwork checked, weigh in/measured.
Then about 4 the results come back for the presentations.

Mines funny like that loves the sea or ponds in the woods but don't like walking in the rain.
and if it's been raining outside and see wants a pee stands at the back door till you push her out. :?

I have to put a coat on her when it's raining. silly cow.

Many years ago, when I was up mountains in all weathers, with my GSD, I used to put a coat on him, not to keep him warm, but a waterproof one with pockets so he could carry his own food, and stuff like First Aid kit.

I've a few photos somewhere, but not in digital format, so I'd have to dig 'em out and scan them in.
Sadly, he's been long gone now for a few years and never replaced.

Ahh, I'd love to train our Border Collie for agility competitions. He's a really intelligent animal. He's so clever, he leaves me messages all over the place. Last one said "Can you buy some proper dog food instead of pie and chips please?"

(I've still got to work out how he uses the computer to send me emails)
I remember watching an episode of Dog Borstal once where the female trainer said that she would never have a Border Collie as she didn't want a dog that was more intelligent than her

A friend of mine used to have a BC and when they went out, he not only carried his own poo bag but put it in the bin as well. Other people in the park used to clap when they saw that and he was on the front page of the local paper for it. He also used to go around picking up the litter i.e. drink cans and bottles and put them in the bin 8)

Cheers Karinska,,, Even though our mutt is very intelligent, he sometimes does absolutely stupid things,,, When we were on holiday, he jumped off a wall down to the sand below. Nowt surprising there, except it was about 7ft down to the bloody sand. Just grateful he didn't break a leg though (could have been a very expensive holiday)

Wow what a mistake to make... on a forum where ther are many enemies !!!

i started a thread stating where i would be on what day !! and with my photo on my profile !!! how foolish is that? :?:

What if gerunt was to drive up to Derwent edge....with a huge tool in his pocket !!! he could do me some damage couldn't he?

And then i i realised whilst walking along the edge.. i had no reason to worry.........

..... there was sheep everywhere !!

Gerunt would be hugely distracted !!!
