Hi,

I am planning on fitting 4 extra low voltage downlights in my bathroom.

They are IP55 rated and run off 12v SELV transformers (1 for each fitting). Two will be in zone 1 above the bath / shower and two outside the zones.

Can I locate the transformers in the ceiling void?

Does this area area have a zone or are there other considerations if locating the transformers in this area (mounting depth, cabling etc)?

Thanks in advance!

Inside the ceiling void is outside the zones, ELV xformers are designed to slip in to the hole made for the lamp fitting.

No need to mount them, just tuck them away from the lamp fitting to avoid heat issues.
