Just worked out my gas bill and I'm not happy.
Old system, old house and yes I know stupid old man too
)
So some advise needed as to whats best.
Old iron pipe 1.5" - 0.75" v new copper or plastic small bore???
Old cast iron rads v new steel rads????
Old 53Kw conventional flue boiler (gas) v New condensing boiler ????
If fitting a new systen is it work considering having a zone control as there is no need to heat upstairs during the day?
If fitting a new system will the savings be worth the investment.
Here's the figures:
having the system on now, average outside temp 12c costs me approx £9.38 per day, heating is only on 9.5hrs per day.
Am I dreaming for a cheaper alternative or does this seems costly.
