Hi all,
Ive bought a new house and not even moved in yet. The water company fixed a meter and also a PRV.

Im looking to buy a shower and some of product manufacturer's say "only appropriate for pressure of 1 bar or more..." etc...

What pressure can I expect? Can it be adjusted via the PRV?

Thanks

You would be very unlucky to have an incoming main at less than 1 bar.

If the water supplier has fitted a PRV then that would suggest much higher than you are likely to need.

Static or dynamic pressure, seen 6bar static drop to 0.6 dynamic.

Yes but only to the maximum pressure that the main is supplying - and checking that you don't exceed the pressure for any existing appliances/fittings.

Why not ask South East Water or the builder what the actual pressure is?

Thanks. Ive seen on their website that they have to provide at least .7 bar, but usually its 1 bar+.
Is there a tool that my builder needs to check the water pressure?
